There are two primary types of files that affect climate in a world. Firstly, there are [[Sims_3:0x00B2D882|DDS]] texture files that control visual information like the colours of the sea and sky, or the texture of the moon. DDS files can be edited in a [[Graphics_Editors|graphics editor]] like Photoshop or GIMP. Secondly, there are [[Sims_3:0x1F886EAD|INI]] tuning files that influence a wide variety of settings - from when the sun sets, to how the ocean's water ripples. INI files can be edited very easily from the Windows Notepad application.
