Phantom Files
I have all of my 25000+ files nicely organized accept for a number of them that refuse to be moved. Most of them just produce a small window that says how many of the selected files could not be moved. Others produce an exception error with a very long, involved message saying that the files are not there. So, I looked in the root of my downloads folder, and sure enough, they weren't there. However, there are others that are. Some of them were the same file name as ones in some of my sub-folders with a different date and time stamp. That seems strange to me. I just did a full scan. Any ideas? I'm running XP Pro on an AMD 3000+ with plenty of RAM etc.
BTW, I love the utility.
Doug
When I tried to install the .rar file I got this message: Application has generated an exception that could not be handled
process id=Ox2fo(752), Threadbid=Oxd4(212)
Do you know how I can correct this?
My operating system is XP Media Edition. If more info about my computer would help to straighten out the situation please let me know.
Thank you very much. I'm pretty sure that I can really use this new program to organize all of my downloads.

[edit] Suggestion for organising files and an error message
I just spent the last 30 minutes or so moving my 3900+ packages into 30+ separate directories. All I did was create directories named after the content "Type".
My suggestion is to have a feature automating this process.
I also keep receiving the following error upon startup...
Index was outside the bounds of the array. at DownloadOrganiser.Form1.loadLanguage()
I click OK and the program functions fine.
I also get this message when I save and close the Options window.
Hope this helps and thanks for the wonderful software.
Joe
Joe, that error is fixed in later versions of the program. As for automatically making directories, nice idea, but I don't think I'll add that. The reason is that everybody has different ways of categorising content. Delphy 03:25, 30 April 2007 (CDT)
[edit] I need this tool
I have downloaded the Downliad organizer.rar file but my daughter explained to me that my computer does not have a program to read it. Can I have it in a zip file she thinks that will work. If so will you tell me where to get it? I am using Nightlife/ Pets 2.
Thanks a lot
