[edit] Description and Information

The InSIMenator is a hack created by the modder Eric. It builds on the game's own boolProp testingCheatsEnabled cheat, allowing users to modify many factors such as money, skills, relationships, etc.

As Eric has left the community and the InSIMenator website is basically defunct, the InSIMenator can be considered abandoned and unsupported. No further updates will be made to the InSIMenator, nor can any help or support be found for it if needed. A currently-updated and supported replacement for the InSIMenator is the SimBlender, which is by TwoJeffs. It can be found here: http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?&#c1

[edit] InSIMenator Documentation

This is a copy of the documentation for the InSimenator, which vanished along with insimenator.net, along with a few corrections and additions. This information is provided here for archival purposes only - remember, the InSIMenator is not supported.

[edit] Versions

Do not install more than one version of the InSimenator into your game, or you will have conflicts, and general brokeness!

There are three different versions of the InSimenator available:

[edit] OBJ version

The OBJ (object) version is the "safest" version of the InSimenator.

  • There are no changes to the destination menus (the menus which pop up when you click on the ground). As such, if you use an old version of OBJ InSimenator, you won't find any Maxis menu options missing.
  • There are no changes to the sim menus (menus when clicking on a sim). As such, if you use an old version of OBJ InSimenator, you won't find any Maxis menu options missing.
  • All the InSimenator sectional objects show up in the buy catalogue, under Electronics -> All.

[edit] DEST version

  • There are changes to the destination menus (the menus which pop up when you click on the ground). As such, if you use an old version of DEST InSimenator, you may find some Maxis menu options are missing.
  • There are no changes to the sim menus (menus when clicking on a sim). As such, if you use an old version of DEST InSimenator, you won't find any Maxis menu options missing.
  • All the InSimenator sectional objects show up in the buy catalogue, under Electronics -> All.

[edit] SIM version

  • There are changes to the destination menus (the menus which pop up when you click on the ground). As such, if you use an old version of SIM InSimenator, you may find some Maxis menu options are missing.

[edit] Sectional Objects

These are the instructions for the separate, spawnable or buyable objects attached to the InSimenator. You can find sectionals in the buy catalogue, under Electronics -> All, or by clicking "Spawn" on the destination menu if you use the SIM or DEST version of InSim.
