Cool! So the language support can be solved within the Wiki (hehehe) and we can have a French and German translation - someone else interested? Spanish or whatever else? (@ Numenor: it's just easier to follow the content when you don't have to translate it at once but you immediately understand the words and meaning - and that's why even an Italian translation for SimPe was written ;) :P ) | Cool! Mirror-pages are great and definately easier than updating a whole html-folder - though as soon as the site exists it's just a case of copy&paste. I don't know yet if I'll start it for myself but in this case I can offer the html version which I'll update with copy&paste whenever it's required... maybe I'll upload it to www.simforum.de *muahahahar* (serious: a thread which informs tutorial-searching ones at MTS2 might be helpful for them to find the TXMT stuff in here and of course it would make sense if Numenor is the one who starts this thread (your name is a kind of 'quality-sign' =) ) | Mirror-pages are great and definately easier than updating a whole html-folder - though as soon as the site exists it's just a case of copy&paste. [edit] Project overview message /task board
Summaries and conclusions about the progress, from this page and others:
- Suitable layer for all our pages still needed which has to fit the wiki outfit
- Useful [Wiki link] Teko can surely add his 2 Euro-Cent
Material type news:
- The Material Types will be listed twice, alphabetical and categorised (maybe seperated on 2 pages).
- The categorised list will use hierarchial branching.
- To every Material Type a short quickinfo ("x" - submaterial of "y", - for "function z"/ outdated/ stand alone] will be added to the alphabetical list.
- Because of the hierarchial branching only group-headlines and quickinfos about outdated material typesd should be required for the categorised list.
- "Found in "cMaterialDefinition" in Content." will be added on top of the Material Types - page(s).
Introduction-Analogy news:
- "The Futuristic House" and "A Sim's View of Things" are finished - may check, please.
Here we can tell to the other members what we have already done, what we are going to do, what needs to be done.

My first tasks will be:
1) Study the Wiki format :P
2) Find a suitable layout for all our pages
3) Create a basic page structure where the members can put the result of their work.
Numenor 20:42, 8 November 2006 (EST)
Khaibit 14:37, 9 November 2006 (EST)
And my first tasks will be:
1) Stop struggling with the Wiki features *doh!* and try my very best to write understandable English
2) Continuing TXMT-parameter understanding (use/ in game behaviour/ whatever else is required)
3) Re-write the intro analogy (pixelhate's feedback and ideas are welcome =) )
4) Thinking about a way to translate everything (including cross linking) as the Wiki is "English only" area
...if succesful write the analogy again in German ;)
*thinking* Front Page or else for preparing HTML sites? Would be a nice download-feature, too (offline browsing the encyclopedia, no further webspace required) and not too complicated to copy the spreadsheed- data... Opinions?
Khaibit 14:40, 9 November 2006 (EST)
As for the translation, this can be manually done, by creating "mirror-pages" (for instance: ...\TXMT will be ...\TXMT-de) and then translating each page (and editing all the links embedded in it). It seems a huge work, also because "someone" :) should keep track of the changes in each English page and edit the German pages accordingly. The same apply to the HTML version: per se, it's a good idea, but it will never be as updated as the actual wiki pages, unless that "someone" continuously verifies the wiki pages and edit the HTML version accordingly.
PS: we should also check if *this* wiki can contain non-English pages. I don't know.
Numenor 08:50, 15 November 2006 (EST)
- Yes, it can contain non-English pages. I can setup seperate namespaces or a subdomain similar to Wikipedia (ie the en.wikipedia, de.wikipedia etc). Delphy 09:15, 15 November 2006 (EST)

As the template news wasn't working can someone delete the page, please? [this page] Thanks! Khaibit 10:29, 29 December 2006 (EST)
- Whats wrong with the template? Do you need some help? What are you trying to do with it? Delphy 12:04, 29 December 2006 (EST)
I wanted to create it in a way that it displays the summary/ conclusion on that certain page AND additional the "news" (do you know a better fitting word?) should be automatically displayed on this page, too as this is the main-overview. - Use a template that includes another template that has the news on it, would be the easiest way of doing this Delphy 13:41, 29 December 2006 (EST)
Now that you say it: sounds logical! :D Cool, so it can work. Next problem: I tried to understand the meta-wiki template creation stuff and failed (I know there ia a logic inside but it's hidden in confusing programming terms - sounds all greek to me except the part about displaying chess positions which is very helpful to this template :D) so could you create a working template that listes the entries with :* please? Maybe this will be easier to understand how it works... a dumb feeling Khaibit 14:17, 29 December 2006 (EST)
- Don't bother with the MediaWiki ones - copy the existing templates we have here. (Check in Special:Specialpages for the Templates, or something like Template:Infobox Person. I can help you on MSN or something if need be. :) Delphy 14:22, 29 December 2006 (EST)
OK, trying... in doubt I try contacting you about Y! messenger or a PM or else... thanks! =) Khaibit 14:51, 29 December 2006 (EST)
I guess we need to start to get this front page started, shan't we?
Note points for txmt/MATD 1. a file type to store mostly graphical parameters and their values, especially those predefined in the material shaders. 2. Certain parameters and their corresponding values from material shaders are usable for txmt files as well.

[edit] Note about links
Hi niol
Just to note that if you remove the www.sims2wiki.info from your wiki'd links (ie the ones in [[) then they'll show as normal links, and not hyperlinks. Anything on the Wiki can be linked to just via, for example, TXMT
I'll try that out. :) thanks...
