Create a World Content
CAW has lists of objects and terrains, but no preview pictures, so if you're looking for a specific type of tree or a certain color of grass and you don't know the name, its trial and error until you find the right one.
Base Terrain Textures
Terrain Textures are found by clicking: Terrain > Terrain Painting Tools > Terrain Editing Tools > Paint

Objects
These objects are found in:
- Metadata > Objects > Environment
CAW lists them alphabetically. I tried kept them as listed, but I've grouped similar objects together.
I have listed them bellow as:
- (WA) World Adventures
- (AMB) Ambitions
- (LN) Late Night
- (GEN) Generations
- (PT) Pets
- (ST) Showtime
- (SN) Supernatural
- (SS) Seasons
- (UL) University Life
- (IP) Island Paradise
- (ITF) Into The Future
CAW doesn't always denote from which EP the object is from, so I apologize if I made a mistake.

Plants
- Plants can be found in: Metadata / Trees
- Some of the trees can be found in Metadata > Game Objects > Environment
CAW does not distinguish a flower from a shrub. They are all grouped together in alphabetical order under the general name of Plant
- Example1: Metadata/Trees/Plant-Heather
- Example2:: Metadata/Trees/Plant-Boxwood
There are some plant listings that have hyphens and some that have semicolons. Also, some are run together as if they were added as an afterthought. These are not typos.
- Example1: Plant-Hedge-Round
- Example2: Plant-Daisy;White
- Example3: PlantHygdrangeaWhite
I have sorted them by type and/or size.

Trees
CAW has all the Trees, from tall to small listed in Metadata/Trees. However, you can also find the mid-sized trees in Metadata/Game Objects/Environment.
To differentiate the trees shown together, the mid-sized tree will be referred to as Standard.
- Example: The Ash Tree has two sizes. The larger tree is listed as Tree-Ash and the smaller one is Tree-Ash-Small. The image description will be: Tree Ash - Standard, Small
There are some tree listings that have hyphens and some that have semicolons. Also, some are run together as if they were added as an afterthought. These are not typos.

This list is perhaps still a work in progress. It is listed according to the Sims Tutorial that EA posted with the CAW download. It can be found at: http://www.thesims3.com/content/global/downloads/caw/help_en.pdf page 22.
There are some differences between the tutorial and what is listed in CAW and what other users have reported.
- The Tutorial does not list the "Jade" and "Mix" China spawners.
- In some instances, the tutorial lists gems that other users have not, and vice versa.
- The tutorial has a gem called "Crazy Gem". The general consensus is the "Crazy Gem" is the "Luminescent Gem".
Tutorial | CAW |
---|---|
Aqua | Blue Topaz |
Yellow | Yellow Sapphire |
Smoky | Smoky Quartz |
Pink | Pink Diamond |
Crazy | Luminous |
In the instances where the list may not be complete, it is noted as: "Other?".
In the instances where other users have noted gems that CAW does not is noted with: "Gem name(?)".
In the instances of the "Crazy Gem" it is listed as: "Crazy Gem" (Luminous Gem (?).
