Populated Neighborhoods

Populated neighborhoods are full-fledged neighborhoods with Sims, houses, decorated terrains - all included in one package! They are normally installed to your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods folder. Some may include or require custom content, and custom content go in the Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder. Neighborhoods that have story pictures may be included in the Neighborhoods\[Name of Neighborhood File Name]\Storytelling, or if a person only has the base game version of The Sims 2, the Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Storytelling. Subneighborhoods are installed by replacing the Maxis/EA neighborhood with the custom version and entering the game to launch/create/attach the subneighborhood to the main neighborhood. Be sure to check the installation instructions, which normally is or should be printed on the website by the content creator. This page contains a listing of all known neighborhoods. It should be updated, when this page is updated.
