Sim Bot

The Sim Bot is a robot, reminiscent of the Servos in The Sims and The Sims 2. All Sim Bots come with the Hydrophobic trait, which means they don't shower and can't swim. Sim Bots also come with the Inventing and Handiness skills

Motives

In lieu of some of the usual sim motives (hunger, fun, etc...), Sim Bots have special, robot motives.

  • Charge (Energy)
    • Sim Bots must sleep in a bed to recharge.
  • Human Interaction (Social)
    • Not just limited to humans, Sim Bots can talk to the Food Processor to satisfy this!
  • Scrap Reserves (Hunger)
    • To fulfill this motive, Sim Bots can eat regular food, but are better served eating scrap. 1 piece completely fills it and gives the Great Meal moodlet.
  • Trivial Entertainment (Fun)
  • Waste Buildup (Bladder)

Interactions & Moodlets

  • Woohoo (cannot have a child)
  • Smash
    • Allows Sim Bot to use its arms to smash nearby objects, creating scrap that it can eat.
  • Show Off Features
  • Discuss Oil Brands
  • Insult Puny Human Brain
  • Converse with things like the microwave, regains Social

  • Short Out moodlet
    • Forcing the Sim Bot to get wet (Shower, swim, play with sprinkler) or being electrocuted will cause this moodlet, which lasts for 4 hours
    • During Short Out, sims can repair or reprogram the sim bot. Reprogramming allows you to reselect the Sim Bot's traits.
  • Great Meal moodlet
    • Given when Sim Bots eat scrap

How to Get it

There are two ways you can acquire a Sim Bot.

Mystery Invention

Invent the Sim Bot using the Scraptastic Workbench. First, you must maxed out the Inventing skill. Your sim will receive a phone call to start the opportunity that will eventually lead to inventing a Sim Bot.

You will then receive a Life Core and be told to create a Mystery Invention. After creation, you will be asked if you want to adopt the Sim Bot or release it into the wild. Adopting it causes it to be part of your household, it will be hydrophobic and eat scrap. Releasing it will cause it to become a townie that you can run into and befriend.

After you create your first Sim Bot, you can go back to the workbench and create more. You will also be able to choose its gender. You will still need to have the original materials to create it.

Lifetime Reward

The easier way, certainly if your sim is not an inventor, is to simply save up 40,000 lifetime reward points and claim the My Dear Friend reward. The Sim Bot will join your household with Best Friend status.

Cursed Sarcophagus

Having your Sim Bot sleep in a Cursed Sarcophagus will not change them into some crazy, mutant, Mummy Bot. It will, however, replace one of their traits with the Evil trait.

How to Create A Humanoid Sim Bot

First of all you will need Treeag's Simtransformer and Twallan's MasterController. Now that you have them, load a saved household or start a new one. You can build a Sim Bot or Spawn one with the Simtransformer. Click on the Sim Bot > NRAAS > MasterController > Advanced > Edit in CAS. Once it has loaded you may now edit the Sim Bot to make it look like a regular sim. The Sim Bot only uses Everyday clothing so it is only necessary to edit that category, a pre-made sim can also be used in this case. Note: By doing this you can remove the Hyrdophobic Trait. Once finished save the changes and ta da you have a Humanoid Sim Bot in your household!
