Young Adult

The Young Adult life stage is a optional life stage in The Sims 2. It is a default stage in The Sims 3.This life stage lasts for 24 days. A Young Adult in The Sims 2 is when teenagers go to college (The Sims 2 University is needed for this). The college years consist of Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior. If a student graduates with honors, they will find a gold star in their age indicator. If a student just graduates there will just be a icon there. If expelled there will be a red cross and if they drop out of college there will be a white 'o.'

The Sims 2

In the Sims 2 University sims ages are counted in hours, not days. They have 72 hours for each semester. If a sim fails to achieve the minimum limit (shown by a white line) they will be put on Academic Probation thus expanding the lifespan. However, if they fail a second time they will be expelled. Sims get rewards every time they complete a year. The rewards are:

Freshman = A 5th want.
Sophomore = The option to change aspirations.
Junior = An extra want/fear lock
Senior = A 6th want.

If a sim is expelled they will unlock a 4th fear.
