Still having trouble installing content?

RightArrow.gif I'm sure I'm doing it right, but it still won't work!

First, go through this article and read it again, from the beginning. Read every word! You may have missed something important. Look at the pictures and make sure you understand each part before you go forward. If you get stuck on a particular section, check the "If you're having trouble..." section at the bottom of each part. It will mention common problems new users run into on that step, and probably clarify things for you.

If you've gone through and done so already and you're sure you're installing your content correctly, but it's still not showing up, then try this article:

"Custom content not showing up? READ THIS!"

It is HIGHLY recommended that EVERYBODY read the above tutorial if they experience problems with custom content not showing up. Do this prior to asking in the chat.

RightArrow.gif I have some specific questions on certain parts of this guide...

Make sure you have read this guide over again carefully from the beginning - you may have missed something important that answers your question, or clarifies the reason you did something earlier that you're confused about.

If there is something that you are still unclear on, and you can start your question something like, "I am confused about the part where it says..." then you may want to take a few moments to see if someone can answer your question.

Live Chat: MTS2 has a live chat with a #help channel. In it, you can get support with game issues. Helpers are all volunteers, and sometimes it may take quite a while for a reply if one comes at all. State your question clearly, and then just be patient. If someone knows how to help and is around, it may be a good way to get an answer to your question.

Post Your Question: MTS2 has a very good support area. In it, experts on the game and computers can help you with your Sims 2-related issues. It may take quite a while (hours to several days) for a reply, though they are generally fairly quick. Posting your specific question may help clarify anything you are confused about.

RightArrow.gif But... but... I just don't get it!

If you have read through this article several times carefully and you're just completely lost, don't understand any part of it, and can't figure out any of the steps involved at all... Click here!
