Icky Egyptian Entomology

This is an adventure your sims can do in Egypt.

Adventure Details

In-Game Description

Scientists at the Landgraab Industries Science Facility are dying to study the indigenous bug species of Egypt and are willing to pay top dollar for specimen. Catch 4 Egyptian Scarab Beetles and deliver them to [Name] to recieve some money.

Location

The quest giver (and thus their location) may vary. Generally it will be Ameen Moussa in a fresh copy of Egypt. The beetles you are expected to find can be found at various locations around Al Simhara.

Difficulty

Easy. Just check the map tags.

Reward

The reward for this adventure is:

  • 15 Visa Points
  • 2,656 Simoleons (this amount may vary - perhaps depending on the value of the bugs?)

Adventure Chain

This adventure is a standalone adventure and not part of a chain.

Walkthrough

1. Collect Beetles: Bring up map view (press M). You can locate where the beetles are by looking at the map tags. There are usually at least two on the small island.
  • Note 1: If you do not see any map tags for beetles, or not enough to complete the quest, just wait a while. It can take some time for bugs to spawn, especially if it's a fresh copy of Egypt.
  • Note 2: The map tags do not disappear once you have collected all 4 beetles. You can continue collecting beetles forever this way, as long as you don't complete the adventure.
  • Note 3: If you already have 4 Scarab Beetles in your inventory, you can just deliver the ones you have - no need to collect more (unless you want to).
  • Note 4: If you have a map tag indicating the location of a beetle but you do not see any bugs crawling on the ground, make sure you unpause your game, zoom in, and look closely - they may go into the ground here and there and it makes them hard to see (and click on). Outdated anti-censor-blur hacks that are not compatible with your game can also cause beetles to not be visible.

2. Deliver Bugs: Return to the sim named in the adventure description to complete the adventure.
