Overview

Split levels before EP3-OFB meant a floor with deformed levels of rooms. In other words, at least a level of room has to be compressed at most down to 4-click-high/4-step-high for a split level feel.

Since EP3-OFB, stages were introduced, and this added some more options on how to make split levels.

After all, split levels have to be built along with split stairs for sims access. Thus namely, building split levels can also mean building split stairs with connecting/modular stairs for a larger landing regions(s) unless a standard-floor-high/16-click-high/16-step-high level of room is the split level one is envisioning.
