Causes
Introducing new content, new packs or new patches to games can sometimes mess up the current Framework settings or more than likely causes conflicts with existing files.
The most straightforward step, after removing all known conflicts or outdated files, is to reinstall the Framework files.
Actions
step 1: create backup
Depending the path you had followed in this FAQ, you would have been prompted to create Backups of your User files. If you still had not done so, do it Now!.
Done with Backup, and ready to proceed?
step 2: rename /Mods folder
Navigate to the Documents path and under The Sims 3 folder, rename your /Mods folder.
step 3: reinstall Framework files
Click on the Game Help:Installing Sims 3 Package Files/Setup and Files guide to redownload and place a new set of Framework files.
Before we test this new setup, answer the following first.
Next Step
Do you still have the MonkeyHelper program installed? Is the icon for a .package file a monkey like so?
