Telescopic Metal
This is an adventure your sims can do in China.
Adventure Details
In-Game Description
"Hello (YourSim), my name is (AdventureGiver)! I've been studying the Dragon Cave for years and have found that with so many tourists these days it's much more peaceful and productive to study it away from home, away from the tourist commotion To do this, I'm building a telescope and wondering if you'll assist me in collecting 5 metals to construct the telescope. I'll pay you for your services!."
Location
The location of the adventure giver will vary - check the adventure description for their name, and the map (press M) for their map tag.
The location of the metals varies wildly - they're found all over Shang Simla, though the easiest place to find them is likely high in the hills near the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army.
Difficulty
Super Easy. You probably already have 5 metals but if you don't, this is a great adventure to find tons of them even if you don't have the Collection Helper yet.
Reward
The reward for this adventure is:
- 15 Visa Points
- 180 Simoleons (may vary depending on value of the metal ores)
Adventure Chain
- Telescopic Metal
- Pottery of Peculiar Properties
- Busted Parts
- Repair Retrieval
- Lights Out!
Walkthrough
1. Collect Metal: Press M to bring up the map. Look for the blue map tags. There's loads of them for this adventure!
- Note 1: If you do not see any map tags for metal, or not enough to complete the quest, just wait a while. It can take some time for ores to spawn, especially if it's a fresh copy of China.
- Note 2: The map tags do not disappear once you have collected all the required ores. You can continue collecting ores forever this way, as long as you don't complete the adventure. This is a very good adventure to do this with, since it shows all metals. You can also put your mouse cursor over the map tag to see exactly what type of metal is there, to find the higher value ones.
- Note 3: If you already have the required ores in your inventory, you can just deliver the ones you have - no need to collect more (unless you want to).
- Note 4: As this adventure takes any type of ore, you may want to move higher-valued ores to the inventory of another playable sim with you on your trip (if you have one) to ensure that you hand over cheaper ores instead of a handful of valuable plutonium.
2. Deliver Metal: Return to the quest giver to give them the metal and to recieve your reward.
