The Grid

The input box for Grid Mode.

Grid mode is a very important tool within CAW. It is used to place objects so that they line up directly with the grid.

The grid, even if it is annoying at first, should be used any time you place lots and roads. This way, your roads and lots will always line up seamlessly. If you want to place lots or roads on other angles, use the input box at the bottom of the screen (pictured left of this text) and use the 'Rotation (degrees)' input box. You can use the scroll function on your mouse as well, if you select the box first.

To deactivate Grid Mode, simply click the same button you used to turn it on.

You can find the Grid Mode button next to the Undo/Redo buttons, in the Utilities panel at the top of your window.
