For some, installing a secondary framework in the World Adventure's folder fixes this problem.

====Automatic Setup (The Easy Way)====

The easiest way to get your framework installed is to download and run [http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=384014 '''Monkey Bars''' (Framework Installer Tool)] to have your framework automatically set up in World Adventures.

====Manual Setup====
+

+
Setting up a World Adventure's framework is the same process as doing one for base game. If you're familiar with that, then following these step below should be a breeze.

'''For The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack, these two components need to be copied to the World Adventure folders:'''

* Copy the resource.cfg file from '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\''' to '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\'''

* Copy the d3dx9_31.dll file from '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\''' to '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Game\Bin\''' </blockquote>

==What about my Mods/Packages folder?==
+
Copying your Mods/Packages folder to the World Adventure's folder is totally optional. Your packages should work fine in the original base game directory, as long as you have the World Adventure framework installed. However, if you'd still like to move your files follow the steps below.
+

+
* Create a folder named Mods in '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\'''
+
* Inside the new Mods folder, create a new folder called Packages
+
* Place your custom content insdie the packages folder.
+

+
Alternatively, you can simply copy your preexisting Mods folder from '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\''' to '''\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\'''.
