In the 3D View, Press NUM2 until you can see the bottom of the cylinder. In the UV/Image editor, zoom(NUM-) out so you can see the other islands, then put your cursor over the other circle island and press L to select it. As you did the with the top, use zoom, G , S, and R to get the island in the middle of the other little blue square on the image.
