Skill Careers
As the name suggests, Skill Careers are jobs associated with specific skills. Once your sim has at least one point in a skill, they can register as self-employed at City Hall. This only applies to those skills from which you can make money, such as writing and inventing.
Promotions in these careers are determined by your sim's earnings.
Gardener
Once your sim has learned the Gardening skill, they can register as a self-employed Gardener.
Inventor
Once your sim has learned the Inventing skill, they can register as a self-employed Inventor.

Painter
Once your sim has learned the Painting skill, they can register as a self-employed Painter.
Photographer
Once your sim has learned the Photography skill, they can register as a self-employed Photographer.
Sculptor
Once your sim has learned the Sculpting skill, they can register as a self-employed Sculptor.
Writing
Once your sim has learned the Writing skill, they can register as a self-employed Writer.
