EADM Issues

Problem(s)

  • Issues while downloading custom content from the Store or Exchange
  • Issues in patching (updating) through the Launcher items
  • Launcher will not start

Cause

A common cause of the above problems can be with the EADM (Electronic Arts Download Manager) - a separate program that comes with the game for managing downloads.

Solution

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling EADM.

  • To Uninstall: See these instructions from EA on doing a manual uninstall. Make sure to reboot your computer after uninstalling!
  • To Reinstall: See the download links here at this EA FAQ Answer (under "How do I get EA Download Manager?")

After reinstalling EADM, make sure to also:

  • Allow Adobe Air to install and then update.
  • Reboot your computer.
  • After rebooting, EADM might prompt you for another update. Allow it to do so.
