Causes

  • Do you recall downloading a program called MonkeyHelper?
  • Do you recall downloading a program called Framework Installer or MonkeyBars?
  • Do you recall setting CC up in Program Files paths?

Still having that these programs installed may also mean that you still have the old, legacy framework left behind in Program Files path.

Actions

step 1

Do the steps in this guide: Game Help:Installing Sims 3 Package Files/Old Way to New Way. Ensure you check in ALL paths as instructed!

step 2

After we've done that, load a NEW game.

  • Is the Intro video running, when you load a NEW game?
  • You can Quit without saving now.

If when loading a NEW game, the content shows up, try next on one of your save games.

  • Is the Intro video running, when you load your save game?
  • You can Quit without saving here, too.

InfoTip.png Info: You may get a warning that some content has been replaced, it is up to you to save this copy or Quit without saving, and thus getting this warning repeatedly during subsequent tests. You had after all, did the Backup step on the previous page when prompted, right? Right?

Results

If it does show up, means the existence of the old framework in Program Files were causing conflicts. So, mystery solved!

Doesn't show up in either a saved game or new game? Go to Next Step.

Next Step

Alrighty, let's verify Framework is done properly...
