What has changed?

  • Did you just updated the game?
  • Did you just installed a new Expansion or Stuff Pack?
  • Did you make a backup before doing the above?

Causes

Patching or installing new games make changes to the game files. So certain files may become corrupted when things are changed or added.

Option 1. If you had answered Yes to the first 2 questions above, proceed on to the Just Patched page. It does not matter what your answers are to the rest of the questions at this point.

Option 2. If you had NOT patched or install a new pack and you HAD done a backup before things had gone missing and you had not added any new CC at all, you can try to restore a backup copy of your custom content by carrying out the actions in the Restore Backup page.

Option 3. If, however you have no backup at all, the only recourse is to do a clean reinstall of these content. Choose the 3rd option.
