Do not make edits to publically accessible help pages used for MTS support without first confirming it!

Hi Ford,

I have protected this page and reverted back to the previous version. The reason for this is that all of the changes just kept making the page more confusing for normal people, and since this is a page that is used (and linked) from other public pages and also used by the help staff, any edits to it MUST be kept understandable and at a basic level for non-technical people to understand. Talking about Manifests and so on is just plain confusing.

I think your idea is fine - to explain things a bit more - but please realise that *we* do not edit "in a vacuum" and that all changes to pages like this go through a process where staff discuss the ideas and execution and are often involved in the process from the start. I would appreciate it if changes could be proposed and communicated BEFORE editing a public facing page used for support.

Please use that page for discussion of a new page, then we'll merge in the changes if neccesary later on. You MUST talk to the help moderators though before going ahead and editing these kind of things - even if you think it's adding to the page, we must keep a basic level of competence in things like that. You can always drop into chat and the staff can talk to you there about any edits.
