This is the Property Set, isn't it? "This resouce is formatted as either XML or CPF." - how do we know which one? Albmont 14:25, 31 December 2006 (EST)

I've not worked with these files myself. If I figure it out, I'll let you know. :) We need a more descriptive format though Delphy 16:20, 1 January 2007 (EST)

SimPe

If I got it wright, the CpfWrapper.cs of SimPe used this code to detect the Property Set. Albmont 15:28, 6 January 2007 (EST)

dmchess's perl code

dmchess's perl code (see Talk:DBPF/Source Code) can be quickly adapted (or so I hope) to detect packages whose Property Set inherits the Pets Expansion Pack outfit bug. Is that code GPL? Albmont 08:19, 17 January 2007 (CST)

Considering the same basic code for loading DBPF files has been used in SimPE, Sims2 Pack Clean Installer, on MTS2 and also on this Wiki, I'd say so. Delphy 15:30, 17 January 2007 (CST)

Shoe, version, and product

The info I added about the version tag was stuff that I gathered from my own observations.

I know a bit about the product tag too (it only seems to appear on Maxis made content though, and seems to be set simply to 0 on all Bodyshop made content.) but I'm going to have to look up my notes again about the product tag to see what's what again, heh. Though IIRC, it's 1 = Uni, 2 = NL, 3 = OfB, 4 = FFS, 5 = GLS, 6 = Pets, but I may be one number off and it starts at 2 for Uni. Which is why I want to verify before posting it, heh.

Additionally, while I don't know all the numbers for the shoe property, I know where to find it. If you look in the War Room on More Awesome Than You (Whenever the site is back up anyhow) there's a thread about making the correct footstep noises with skins, and it involves changing the number in the shoe property, since the shoe thing is what controls the noise a skin makes. The variations are something along the lines of no shoe/sandals, shoe, heels, boots, metal (for the armor from OfB), and some other ones I don't remember offhand. I'll be sure to post that when it's back up, unless someone else beats me to it, as well as the product info once I find it again. :)
