Conceptual Tutorials

These are the basical building concepts of modular stairs <ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Concepts Tutorials</ncl>

Typical Stair Types

<ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Typical-types Tutorials</ncl>

The shapes of the stairs are dependent on the shapes of both the connecting/modular stairs and the landings. So, the number of landings won't limit the shapes of the resultant stair's shapes completely.

Stairs with 1-landing (including L-shaped, J-shaped Stairs, U-shaped)

Stealth-stairs Types

<ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Stealth-stairs Tutorials</ncl> Stealth stairs can be used in many ways for fast level access for sims. it can be a shortened version of a typical stair or combine with walls and wallpapers to form lift/elevators.

Floor-tile-based Stairs

<ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Floor-tile-based Tutorials</ncl> Floor-tile-based stairs depend on the fact that sims can walk past the floor tiles regardless of how deformed the floor grid layer is, they just can reach anywhere tiled. Raphael used this feature to make "lift/elevator". SimSherry used it to make inclined stairs.
