Game Help:Change Predestined Hobby

In FreeTime, every sim is randomly given a predestined (preferred) hobby. A sim will build hobby enthusiasm much faster in their predestined hobby. The player, in-game, has no control over what your sims predestined hobby is.

Are you annoyed that you couldn't choose their predestined hobby? Does the predestined hobby chosen contradict what you had in mind for your sim? Well read on to find out how to change it.

Instructions

You need SimPE to do this. Read this to find out how to get and install SimPE.

After you install SimPE, read these instructions on how to back up your game, as this is very important.

In SimPE, under the Tools menu, go to the Neighbourhood menu and then click Neighbourhood browser. Click the neighbourhood that the sim whose predestined hobby you want to change lives in. If the sim you want to change lives in a sub-neighbourhood (shopping area, downtown, university, etc.) select the sub-hood from the drop-down menu. If your sim lives in the root neighbourhood, then just ignore the drop down menu and leave it as "Normal: ______". Click Open.

The neighbourhood browser will take a long time to load. Even on very fast computers, it will take a minute or two. It may tell that the program is not responding, but just be patient and don't click on anything until it is fully loaded.

Then, go into the tools menu again, and under neighbourhood, click Sim Browser.

Scroll through this until you find the name of the sim whose hobby you want to change. Select them, and click open.

Make sure you have Plugin View selected at the bottom of the screen.

In the tabs in the Plugin View, select FreeTime. You should then see a dropdown menu for "Predestined Hobby". Change it to whatever hobby you prefer. Then, click the commit button. Then, under the File menu, click save.

You're done! When you go back into the game your sim should have the predestined hobby you want! Enjoy!
