What are INI and DDS files and where do I find them?
There are two primary types of files that affect climate in a world. Firstly, there are DDS texture files that control visual information like the colours of the sea and sky, or the texture of the moon. DDS files can be edited in a graphics editor like Photoshop or GIMP. Secondly, there are INI tuning files that influence a wide variety of settings - from when the sun sets, to how the ocean's water ripples. INI files can be edited very easily from the Windows Notepad application.

How do I get the files into my world?
- It seems that CAW is set up to automatically package certain resources into the world file on export to Sims3Pack.
- To have this work, put the files into the location specified:
- Documents \Electronic Arts \The Sims 3 Create A World Tool \UserToolData \Worlds \[worldname]\ Config\
- Note: All files must have the proper name of the resource, not the hash. This means naming them WorldEnvtIni_Clear.ini, WorldEnvt_Clear.dds.
